A robbery occurred in McEvoys on Clanbrassil Street last Wednesday 26th May between the hours of 10pm and 6am. The burglars broke in through Shoezone, and ‘sawed’ through the wall in order to gain access to the McEvoys store, where they stole an number of replica firearms. Locals are concerned because these stolen firearms might be used for some criminal activity in the future. Some believe that the robbery was carefully planned and executed.

An Gardaí are asking for any witnesses to come forward.  They also ask that people remain vigilant and wary of anyone who might approach them in order to sell off the stolen firearms, as it unknown what the intended purpose of the stolen firearms is.
